In Canada, the hypnotherapy industry is unregulated. Consequently, the standards for the profession with regard to training and certification are fuzzy at best.

Many professionals in the industry believe this needs to change. This is why bodies such as the International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association in the US and Association of Registered Clinical Hypnotherapists in Canada were formed.

These groups aim to raise the standard of education, training and certification for professionals. Membership in these associations is entirely optional, but we are proud to be members of both IMDHA and ARCH.

CPH-Licensed-SchoolThe College of Professional Hypnotherapy. CPH has one of the highest standards of hypnotherapy education available in North America.

As a licensed school under CPH, we are proud to offer their curriculum and support services to our students, ensuring that the standard of education and hypnotherapy practice is maximized.

We cannot stress enough that the best way to learn hypnotherapy is by experiencing it both as an observer and as a subject.

Our approach to teaching the art of hypnotherapy to students is to meld the theory with therapy randomly in class as needed.

What that means is that if the subject matter being taught triggers a student (that is, evokes an emotional response or memory associated with the subject matter being discussed) instructor and student will engage in a short hypnotherapy session that the other students in the class observe.

If you have an open mind, and are ready and willing to change the way you think, behave and interact with the world so that you can make your dreams come true, we are the school for you!

While this approach may not always be a comfortable one, the benefits of such impromptu sessions are numerous.

The triggered student of course gets to work through personal issues likely to have made it difficult to become successful when it comes time for them to begin their practice, and observing students learn how to use hypnotherapy to treat complex issues.

This approach to education is why we take our student application process so seriously. We want to make sure that all students are prepared for these types of experiences, both as a subject and as a supportive observer.

We have seen time and time again that this approach not only teaches hypnotherapy in a way that can be assimilated by most people’s learning style, but allows graduates of the program to have undergone enough personal growth that their success is assured!
